The ‘not so’ Fairness Doctrine

February 13, 2009 · Filed Under National Politics

Well here we are a small little blog in a big world but we’ve been singled out already by the Obama administration for a pilot program. That’s right, thankw.com was chosen out of the 1000’s of sites to implement the first phase of the ‘fairness doctrine.’ It seems that all your well wishing for George Bush has caught the eye of some high ranking democrat who is now demanding the same for President Obama.
No sooner had the page been published and we received several responses. So here we go, in the interest of fairness let’s hear from the other side and perhaps you too would like to respond.

  • "Dear Mr. President, after all the work we’ve done together
it’s nice to know you’re a man of your word to those who
helped you most. The billions of dollars we receive will be
used to replace these tired old brown t-shirts we’ve been
wearing and we can now reserve millions of bus tokens to
get voters we’ve deceived to the polls in 2010. (Doing our
best to be green) Also as you’re aware we lost a good
number of computers this last election. New ones with
‘track proof’ delete buttons are quite costly but alas
because you have stood tall these last 3 weeks there is
HOPE again in Chicago & the untied states of America."

  • "Dear President Obama, Thank you for your gift to the
American people. $75,000,000.00 may not do it all but
it is a healthy start. Our new ad campaign poster
features you. We hope you like it."

  • "Oh my God’ Praise you Obama, Oh my God! I can’t believe
you took time out to read this, Praise you, I uh still haven’t
got my benefits but I know you’re a busy man and worthy of
all praise. Uh hay I broke my play station, Oh glory to Obama,
can you uh send one, you know, Oh I’m so happy, with the
benefits I am getting. Remember? You eh uh said. Oh glory.
I’m so happy. Thank You Thank You I need benefits,
    Thank You Obama."

[...] With the Senate on lock down and Steinberg (a democrat) threatening. “Bring your toothbrush” this seems like a hostile attempt for the democrats to get their way. [...]
